(NEW) COVER REVEAL: The Funnny Adventures of Little Nani, by Cinta Garcia de la Rosa

Hello, everyone!

I am thrilled to be here, so I can share with all of you the new cover I got for my book “The Funny Adventures of Little Nani”. My book was published last September 2012 with a cover that I created with one of the templates offered by CreateSpace. It is OK, but it is not what I wanted for my book. But now things are different. I got a gorgeous new cover created by Mark Stone and I think it is time I share it with all of you. From now on, all my Little Nani covers will follow the same format, so they will be easily recognisable for its readers. So thanks for being here and enjoy the gorgeous new cover!

About the Author:

Cinta Garcia de la Rosa is a Spanish writer who has loved the written word since he discovered she was able to read books at age 5. Since then, she has become a bookworm and reads around 100 books every year. She also writes, every day, compulsively, even in the middle of the night. You cannot control when inspiration hits you, can you? She writes in English because she is convinced that in a previous life she was British, so writing in English feels more natural to her than writing in her native language. Yes, she is crazy like that. Cinta Garcia is the author of “The Funny Adventures of Little Nani”, a collection of short stories for children, and “A Foreigner in London”, a short story published on Smashwords.

“How would you feel if you are in a foreign country and have to deal with loneliness and lack of confidence? This heartfelt short story takes you on an emotional trip through those feelings. Are you ready for the ride?” (description from Goodreads)

line-37709

Having read this author’s children’s book, The Funny Adventures of Little Nani, I jumped at this one because it’s far from being the funny, light-hearted collection of stories for a younger (and older, but young at heart) audience.

With A Foreigner in London, the reader goes into the mind of the Spanish main character as she copes with living in London. She deals with loneliness and the difficulties that any person foreign to any country would go through. There’s a language barrier, even if English is being spoken, and this is mainly due to a cultural difference that takes time to learn, if it can be learned fully at all.

Through the authors repetition of a few lines throughout the story, a tone was setup that really grew me in and made me sympathize for the MC. The short length of this story was used effectively to convey a deep emotion and some real world issues that some try to overlook when they see someone who might be “different” in their country. It might make the reader think twice before looking down to of avoiding someone just trying to fit in.

Cinta Garcia Interviews Her Character Drofxo!

BEHIND THE SCENES OF THE FUNNY ADVENTURES OF LITTLE NANI
– MEET DROFXO -

When Little Nani entered my life, my world completely changed. Suddenly, I started meeting the most extraordinary characters, who became part of my daily life very soon. One of those amazing characters, who is one of Little Nani’s dearest friends, is Drofxo. He is kind of special. Why? Well, I decided to sit down with him and ask him some questions. Keep on reading and you will see why he is special.

Me: Hello, Drofxo. Thanks for accepting being interviewed by me.

Drofxo: Hello, Cinta. Well, I couldn’t say no, since you created me.

Me: Fair enough. So, I see you are drinking coffee… Wouldn’t you prefer a nice cup of tea?

Drofxo: Oh, no! I need coffee. I drink a lot of coffee. I am addicted to caffeine.

Me: Oh, I am sorry! I am sure that is too bad.

Drofxo: It also has good things. For example, thanks to coffee I met Little Nani.

Me: I am glad you mentioned that. I was just going to ask you how you happened to meet

Little Nani.

Drofxo: Let’s say that I was having problems with coffee, I went to her house, things

happened, and eventually we became friends. I cannot tell you more or I would spoil the story.

Me: No, no! We don’t like spoilers. Some people may wonder how come that Little Nani

became your friend since…

Drofxo: …since I am a Zombie? Yes, that can be a bit weird for most people, but not for

Little Nani. She doesn’t care about her friends’ appearance, as long as they are nice.

Me: That’s very sweet of Little Nani. Do you live close to Little Nani’s house?

Drofxo: Not too close. I live in a cave under the old bridge. I tried to live in the town, but

people was too scared of me, so I left the town and found my cave. But if I go near the forest, I can

see Little Nani’s house in the distance.

Me: That’s good, because you can visit her. What do you think about her magical skills?

Drofxo: (coughing nervously) Well, to be honest, I think that she needs a lot of improving.

She cannot pretend to do most of her spells without having properly studied them. However, I

cannot complain, since the spell she used with me was not too bad.

Me: But at least she has the best of intentions.

Drofxo: Oh, yeah, that’s for sure! And people forget about the mess she creates with her

magic because Little Nani is such a positive force that you cannot do another thing but like her.

Me: Aw, that was so nice of you. Do you think that people will enjoy reading about Little

Nani and her adventures?

Drofxo: If people like funny and somehow absurd stories that make them remember the

stories they read when they were kids, or if they have little children, or if they just have a very

young spirit, they will definitely enjoy the book.

Me: Thank you! So thank you for letting me interview you and I wish you have more

adventures with Little Nani.

Drofxo: Well, that depends on you! Will I appear in Little Nani and Her Friends (Volume

2)?

Me: Oh, I am sorry, but in the second book devoted to Little Nani’s adventures, she will

meet new friends, and all of them will be animals. But I am also writing a series of short stories

featuring Little Nani and some of the characters from Volume 1, and maybe you will appear there.

Do you like “choose-your-own-adventure” stories?

Drofxo: Yeah, I love them! I cannot wait till you finish those stories.

Me: Thanks! And thanks for coming.

Drofxo: It was my pleasure.

Drofxo left the room, leaving behind an empty coffee mug. And I started wondering, how many coffee mugs does he have so he doesn’t mind leaving one behind? Maybe he just forgot about it? The solution to these questions is in the story, and I won’t spoil it for you.

*Review of an ARC of the upcoming release “The Funny Adventures of Little Nani”

Little Nani, Little Nani, Little Nani…what is there to say about you? There’s a lot to say about you Little Nani. You’re a very cute, very funny, mischievous, but you have a great big heart. This goes for your book as well.

The Funny Adventures of Little Nani is a refreshing change from my normal reads. It’s not that I don’t read children’s books. It’s more that I don’t read them often enough. Also, I don’t run across a book that can easily entertain readers from very young ages all the way up to my age of 23 years and far beyond. The stories in this book speak to a variety of generations with many different aspects.

First I’d like to point out Little Nani herself. She’s a “witch” who learned some spells from an online course. Since she learned to use her wand through these emails, she hasn’t perfected them yet, but Little Nani still tries her best to use her powers for good…even if something strange and unexpected happens. No matter what the outcome, Little Nani seems to find the bright side to everything. What isn’t there to like about her character? She’s just adorable.

All the other characters in this book were just as entertaining and lovable as Little Nani. Aside from Little Nani’s initial friends, the horse who LOVES to read (one of my favorite things about him) and Skinny Nikki & Big Billy, she encounters new friends throughout the book. They range from ghosts, zombies, robots, and not so nice little boys. But they are all great characters in their own way; for their flaws and for their good qualities. I think one of my favorites is Drofxo. But you’ll have to read the book to find out who he is and why he’s so cool. I’m mean like that, I won’t ruin things.

The adventures Little Nani has are worth reading this books for, even if there weren’t other good points to make. What other little girl can go off everyday to meet new friends, use a magic wand, and be so extremely positive no matter what she’s faced with? Bears? She has no fear. Zombies? Please, that’s nothing for Little Nani to handle. A destructive robot? Little Nani can handle it all…and she handles it all with a smile and some kind words.

If this wasn’t enough for one book to have in it, the dialogue between the various characters is filled with wit, snark, spunk, hilarity, and a few other doodads and doohickies. There is never a dull moment when they get to talking.

This book is a great addition to any child’s collection. This book is a great addition to any adults collection. Little Nani will walk right into your lives and warm your hearts. I hope she makes everyone who reads her adventures enjoy life just a little bit more.
